After 43+ hours of traveling insanity, we arrived in Ushuaia in the dark.

After some much needed rest, we awoke- to more darkness. Then the faint glow of sunrise at 9 am revealed this out our bedroom window:

A beautiful day! Time to do what we came here to do. ski.

Busride to Cerro Castor, a ski resort about 45min inland:

We met some friendly ski patrollers who let us warm up in their hut. Then pointed out some off piste skiing for us off the backside of the ski area. A short hike in the MUCHO VIENTO (very windy) Y MUCHO FRIO (very cold).

Skiing! It looks like early morning, but it's actually about 2 pm- yes it looks like sunrise all day. Alpenglow galore!
