El Fotographer getting carried away as usual
A long skin, but the trail was already broken for us.
The higher we go, the better the view
You can see the couloir we skied on Tuesday in the background.
The clouds started settling in at the top as it got colder. Nearly there:
Rachel rips off her skins as Nick investigates the other side- the awesome, and not very visible Cannadon Negra.
We found Sebastian and Julian at the top building a snowcave. Apparently it was them whom we had seen earlier from the lift. They were attempting to ski a peak in the next valley (Cerro Tonelli) but the low visibility turned them back. They decided to build a snow cave to sleep in next week from which to attempt the peak.
After some cheese and prosciutto sandwiches and chocolate we were itching to get after the powder. Nick takes off first down the glacier (no crevasses on this one, don't worry)
Rachel licks her chops. Yummy Pow Pow!
And here is a video for your enjoyment. click it to play it.
Celebrating with chocolate cake and 7up!
You can barely see our line through the clouds out the refugio window. What a day!
